The Rochester winter is fading and signs of spring are in the air. That means beautiful Upstate weather, and outdoor activities but also the onset of pollen season! To help everyone prepare, AAIR is gearing up to again begin providing the local pollen counts for the community, news organizations, and medical professionals, as we have been doing for many years. We provide this service free of charge as a service to the community. AAIR is currently the only pollen counting station for all of the Greater Rochester area, the northern Finger Lakes, Syracuse, and Buffalo with the only other stations in Western New York being in Olean and Cortland! Rochester NY was recently voted the eighth worst city in the US for Spring pollen allergies!!
