Biologic Injections for Asthma & Hives

Biologics are targeted injectable medicines for harder-to-control asthma, hives, food allergy, and some other allergic disease. They are highly specialized proteins designed to target and block the specific molecules inside your immune system that cause severe allergic responses and airway swelling. Instead of suppressing your whole immune system, they act like a precision laser, stopping the exact pathway causing your disease.

Injections we give include Xolair, Nucala, Fasenra, and Tezspire. Biologic injections are available at all three offices: Brighton, Perinton, and Canandaigua.

Xolair is also used for food allergy, to lower the risk of a reaction from an accidental exposure. It is taken with strict avoidance. It is not a way to start eating the food. An epinephrine auto-injector is still required.

Prior authorization and scheduling are handled with you. Children and adults are seen.
